WOCA Floor Soap: Natural vs. White

This is one of the questions we get asked most often; “which soap should I use for my floors?”

Our natural floor soaps come in Natural or White. The difference being that our Natural Soap in the colour white contains white pigments and the Natural Soap in the colour natural does not.

Typically WOCA Natural Soap and Oil Refreshing Soaps in white are to be used with lighter coloured woods which would have likely been finished with one of our floor oils in white or extra white. Our natural coloured Soaps are to be used for all other darker toned woods treated with a natural or darker toned wood oil.

note: that the natural tone of the wood is not the only consideration when deciding on which soap would be best, you must also consider the colour of WOCA wood oil that was used to finish your floors. For example using the natural soap in white over a floor finished with WOCA Diamond Oil in Carbon Black would mute the look of the darker toned floor finish.
